About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Sales Manager to work remotely as part of our Sales Team, reporting to the North America Sales Director. The ideal candidate is based in the U.S. Midwest region to support customer engagement, regional travel, and in-person business development.

The Senior Sales Manager is responsible for driving new business growth by identifying, prospecting, and securing new customer partnerships. This role builds strong, influential relationships across all levels of a customer organization to deepen engagement between Probi and key accounts. You will develop and execute strategic account plans for high-priority customers, partnering closely with Sales and Marketing to align on goals, strategy, and execution. This role requires a results-oriented, relationship-driven sales professional with the ability to influence, strategize, and deliver in a dynamic commercial environment.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver revenue and growth targets with assigned customers in accordance with the annual sales budget.
  • Act as the primary interface between customers and Probi.
  • Carry out specific responsibilities in each step of the sales process, including:
    • Identify prospective customers;
    • Develop, execute, document, and maintain sufficient customer sales opportunities;
    • Facilitate and execute contract and licensing negotiations with customers;
    • Establish relationships with individuals at all levels of the customers' organization;
    • Present the features and benefits of Probi products and services, including clinical research;
    • Conduct on-site sales meetings with customers and prospects, including key stakeholders from both organizations.
  • Develop short- and medium-term commercial plans with input from functions such as marketing, product management, and R&D.
  • Align go-to-market activities in the region and coordinate with marketing and sales team members.
  • Complete appropriate reporting of all sales activities, including call reports in the CRM database.
  • Continuously improve comprehensive product and service knowledge, relevant industry familiarity, and sales techniques.
  • Take direction from management and escalate/delegate appropriately to peers and other personnel at Probi.
  • Exhibit a professional demeanor and the ability to establish rapport with prospects, customers, and co-workers.
  • Adhere to company policies and guidelines as described in the Company Employee Handbook.
  • Participate in special projects, which may include development of strategic sales plans for top key accounts, mentoring peers, and traveling with other account managers to offer support and coaching.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, preference for biology, chemistry, nutrition, or food science.
  • Minimum 10 years of previous sales experience, preferably in the processed food, food ingredient, or dietary supplement industry.
  • Experience with CRM databases, SalesForce preferred.
  • Experience with ERP systems, Microsoft Business Central preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Must be able to read, write, and converse in the English language.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • Maintain good attendance.

Pay

The expected annual salary range for this position is USD 100,000 - 150,000. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and company performance.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM through 5:00 PM, with up to 50% travel.
