Pro Shop and Cart Attendant for Executive Golf Course

Essential Duties

• Serves as a golf cart attendant and pro shop attendant.
• Collects green fees, sells golf supplies and concessions, and assists players on the golf course.
• Serves beer and food items at the clubhouse.
• Acquaints new golfers with course rules and regulations.
• Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with other employees, officials, and the general public using excellent customer service skills.
• Patrols course property to direct the pace of play and ensure proper manners of play and observance of golf rules and etiquette.
• Sells season passes and keeps records of such sales.
• Cleans pro shop and restrooms on a daily basis and as needed.
• Enforces established policies, rules, and regulations of the course.
• Receives and responds to complaints from golfers.
• Operates a motor vehicle to assist in carrying out the business of the department and the City.

Non-Essential Duties

• Relieves other personnel at the golf course when necessary.

Qualifications

• This position is subject to the LBR's Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Program.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to work harmoniously with patrons and fellow employees.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Must be able to count change.
• Ability to maintain records and files.
• Working knowledge of the rules of golf.
• Ability to learn and enforce course policies, rules and regulations.
• Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, other LBR departments, and staff.
• Ability to follow verbal and or written instructions.
• Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely.

• Golf cart
• Cash register
• Computer
• Janitorial equipment including vacuums, mops, brooms, and dusting equipment.

Physical Demands

• Regularly reaches with hands and arms.
• Frequently stands, walks, and uses hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls.
• Occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds individually.
• Works near moving mechanical parts and in outside weather conditions.
• Exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and lightning.
• Works in a quiet to moderate noise environment.
