PRO Services Assistant Department Manager

About the role

This position trains and develops Product Sales Specialists and ensures customers receive excellent customer service and product information.

Responsibilities

• Act and work in a manner consistent with company's core values
• Demonstrate safe lifting practices and understand company retail philosophy
• Provide direction to Product Sales Specialists for high-quality customer service
• Complete certification courses and demonstrate knowledge of merchandise and installation
• Communicate departmental standards and changes to associates
• Pass industrial truck proficiency testing and certification
• Communicate inventory needs to management
• Process merchandise to the showroom floor
• Validate product placement and pricing
• Greet and assist customers with product questions and selections
• Process customer refunds and exchanges
• Follow cash, check, and credit card acceptance procedures
• Stock and tag merchandise displays
• Create price tags and merchandise signs
• Answer the telephone according to guidelines

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• One year of customer service/sales experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

• Thorough understanding and compliance with company safe lifting practices and operating procedures
• Basic P’s of retail knowledge (People, Position, Product, Presentation, Price, Promotion, Purchasing)
• Knowledge of standard operating procedures and ability to implement changes
• Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 60 pounds occasionally and up to 20 pounds frequently
• Physical ability to stand, walk, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl

Monday - Friday: 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM
Saturday: 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Sunday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Pickup Hours: Monday - Friday: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Saturday: 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Sunday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Pay

$19.75 - $30.95 per hour
