About the role
Az State Veterans Home in Yuma is seeking a PRN Speech-Language Pathologist to join their dynamic therapy team.
Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans for residents with speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions to improve communication skills and overall quality of life for residents.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including nurses, therapists, and social workers to ensure comprehensive care plans.
- Stay updated with the latest research and best practices in SLP to enhance treatment outcomes.
Requirements
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Arizona.
- Current CPR certification.
- Experience working with veterans and individuals with cognitive impairments is preferred but not required.
