PRN Seasonal Operating Room Float Pool Nurse
Temporary Operating Room Registered Nurse position for a seasonal commitment (October 1, 2026 – December 31, 2026). Seasonal staff must work a minimum of 24 hours per week (48 hours per pay period) and may be required to float to another center within the same division/market. Current HCA/SVG employees are not eligible to transfer into the seasonal program.
About the Role
Join our ambulatory surgery center as a Seasonal Operating Room Nurse, contributing expertise in circulating or scrub roles. You’ll ensure safe, high-quality patient care while collaborating with a dynamic interdisciplinary team. Seasonal OR RNs earn competitive pay rates and receive priority consideration for future full-time, part-time, or PRN positions after the program ends.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients prior to surgery and provide peri-operative education to patients and families.
- Prepare patients for surgery, including intravenous therapy, preoperative medications, and surgical site verification.
- Participate in surgical site verification (briefing, time out, debriefing, universal protocols) per hospital policy.
- Recognize and respond to patient emergencies; deliver patient-centered care using evidence-based practices.
- Apply the nursing process, critical thinking, and technical skills to independently deliver safe care.
- Assess, monitor, and document patient condition throughout your shift.
- Educate patients and caregivers on medical conditions, treatments, and follow-up care.
- Collaborate with providers, surgeons, surgical technologists, and other team members.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Minimum 1 year of operating room experience, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center.
- Active RN license (state or compact licensure).
- Valid BCLS certification upon employment (online certification not accepted).
- ACLS certification as required by the facility.
- CNOR certification preferred.

Schedule

Pay
Seasonal OR RNs earn a high pay rate of $50 per hour.
