PRN Respiratory Therapist - Night Shift

Role Overview

The Respiratory Therapist III provides advanced respiratory care, primarily in critical care settings, including ventilator management, airway procedures, and medication administration. They assess patients, collaborate with healthcare teams, and deliver education to patients and families. The role involves independent decision-making, participating in quality improvement projects, and serving as a preceptor for new staff and students. The therapist promotes evidence-based practices, ensures patient safety, and maintains accurate documentation.

Qualifications & Skills

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy
• Licenses and certifications including RCP, NBRC-RRT, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP
• At least two years of critical care experience across various ICU settings
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and computer skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on quality and safety
