PRN Respiratory Therapist II - Non-NICU

Role Overview: The Respiratory Therapist II provides advanced patient care in critical settings, focusing on medication administration, ventilator management, airway procedures, and pulmonary diagnostics. Key Responsibilities Deliver safe, quality respiratory care, including assessments, therapy planning, and collaboration with healthcare teams.Perform procedures such as aerosolized medication delivery, airway management, arterial blood gas sampling, and ventilator management.Educate patients, families, and support staff; mentor new employees and students.Ensure compliance with safety standards, electronic documentation, and quality improvement initiatives.Assist with invasive and non-invasive procedures, and promote evidence-based practices. Qualifications & Skills Associate or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy preferred.Certifications: NBRC-RRT, RCP, BLS, and ACLS required upon hire.0-2 years of clinical experience, with at least 6 months in critical care.Strong communication, critical thinking, interpersonal, and computer skills. Additional Requirements: Ability to work independently in complex situations, adapt to population-specific needs, and support team development. Complies with organizational policies and standards.
