Role Overview: The Respiratory Therapist II provides advanced respiratory care, medication administration, and patient assessment, primarily in critical care settings. They independently manage ventilators, perform airway procedures, analyze arterial blood gases, and educate patients and staff. The role involves collaboration with healthcare teams, supporting quality improvement initiatives, and ensuring patient safety through adherence to policies and evidence-based practices. Key Responsibilities: Deliver comprehensive patient care, documentation, and educationPerform ventilator management, airway procedures, and respiratory therapiesAssess patients and collaborate on care planningMentor and educate new employees, students, and peersEnsure safety through accurate documentation, medication safety, and compliance with safety standardsParticipate in invasive and non-invasive procedures, pulmonary testing, and cardiac services as needed Qualifications & Skills: Associates or Bachelors in Respiratory TherapyCertifications: NBRC-RRT, RCP, BLS, ACLS (all required upon hire)0-2 years of clinical experience, with at least 6 months in critical careStrong communication, critical thinking, and computer skillsAbility to establish effective relationships with healthcare professionals Additional Information: The role emphasizes compassionate service, professional development, and a team-oriented environment to enhance patient outcomes and staff growth.
