PRN Respiratory Therapist

Role Overview: The Respiratory Therapist II provides advanced respiratory care, primarily in critical care settings, with a focus on ventilator management, medication administration, and patient assessment. They independently make clinical decisions, educate patients and staff, and participate in procedures such as airway management and pulmonary testing. Key Responsibilities: Deliver safe, quality patient care through assessments, therapy planning, and collaboration with healthcare teams.Administer aerosolized medications, manage ventilators, perform arterial blood gases, and assist with invasive and non-invasive procedures.Educate patients, support staff development, and mentor new employees and students.Promote a positive, team-oriented work environment and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Qualifications & Skills: Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy preferred.Required certifications: NBRC-RRT, Respiratory Care Professional, BLS, and ACLS.0-2 years of clinical experience, with at least 6 months in critical care.Strong communication, critical thinking, and computer skills, with the ability to establish effective relationships with healthcare professionals.
