About the Role

Advanced Infusion Solutions is seeking a Home Health Infusion Registered Nurse to support patients in the Olympia, WA area. Consideration will be given for Seattle, WA or Portland, OR areas. This PRN opportunity offers flexibility to manage your own schedule while meeting the needs of patients throughout the region, with travel that may extend up to 200 miles. Travel time is paid and mileage is reimbursed.

Our Home and Clinic Infusion Registered Nurse meets the needs of patients with implanted drug delivery devices through comprehensive patient assessments, nursing interventions, pump refills, dose adjustments, and patient education. Nurses demonstrate professional leadership while providing care primarily in patients' homes and clinic settings.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with prescribing providers, patients, and caregivers to ensure orders are received, implemented, and appropriate.
  • Act in accordance with State Board of Nursing standards and complete company-assigned training.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on symptom management to improve quality of life.
  • Provide pain management and spasticity medication infusion therapies in patients' homes or clinical settings.
  • Manage a census of patients with implanted intrathecal pumps, providing intermittent care and ongoing plan of care oversight.
  • Conduct one-on-one home or clinic infusion nursing care visits and patient education per the physician's plan of treatment.
  • Interact with patients, physicians, pharmacists, and other partners using excellent written and verbal customer service skills.
  • Engage in continuous training on leading-edge technology and clinical requirements in specialty infusion.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse with a current license in the state of residence and ability to be licensed in other states as needed.
  • 3+ years of clinical nursing experience.
  • Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Strong clinical background with the ability to quickly assess and react to changes in patient conditions.
  • Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and be resourceful.
  • Proactive problem solver.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, Word, smartphones, and tablets.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with implanted intrathecal pump management.
  • Certification and recertification expenses may be reimbursed for eligible RNs (e.g., ASPMN certification).

Education

RN Diploma, Associates, or B.S. degree in nursing.
