About the Role

Our Home and Clinic Infusion Registered Nurse meets the needs of patients with implanted drug delivery devices through comprehensive patient assessments, nursing interventions, pump refills, dose adjustments, and patient education. Our RNs demonstrate professional leadership while providing nursing care primarily in patients' homes and clinic settings, where care is reviewed and adapted to facilitate mutually agreed-upon goals.

As a Specialty Infusion Registered Nurse, you will provide specialized care to patients with implanted drug delivery devices through comprehensive assessments, nursing interventions, pump refills, dose adjustments, and patient education. Our nurses demonstrate professional leadership and clinical excellence while delivering individualized care in patients' homes or a clinic setting.

In this PRN role, you will visit patients in greater Olympia, Washington and surrounding areas with occasional travel of up to three hours. Travel time is paid and mileage is reimbursed.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with the prescribing provider, patient, and their caregivers; ensures orders are received, implemented, and they are appropriate and actionable.
  • Acts in a manner consistent with all applicable State Board of Nursing standards; successfully completes the company-assigned training program.
  • Educates patients and caregivers to assist the patient with symptom management to improve quality of life.
  • Provide pain management and spasticity medication infusion therapies in patients' homes or in a clinical setting.
  • Manage a census of patients with implanted intrathecal pumps, providing intermittent care and ongoing plan of care oversight.
  • Provide one-on-one home or clinic infusion nursing care visits and patient education in accordance with the physician's plan of treatment.
  • Interact with patients, physicians, pharmacists, and other partners using excellent written and verbal customer service skills.
  • Challenge your clinical nursing (RN) skills by receiving continuous training on leading-edge technology and clinical requirements in specialty infusion.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse with current license in state of residence and the ability to be licensed in others. Additional licensure may be required in multi-state service areas.
  • 3 years of clinical nursing experience.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
  • Have and maintain current CPR certification.
  • Strong clinical background with the ability to quickly assess and react to changes in patient conditions.
  • Strong written, verbal, organizational, and teamwork skills.
  • Excellent customer service and critical thinking skills; ability to work independently and be resourceful; proactive problem solver.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, Word, and use of smartphones and tablets.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Implanted intrathecal pump management experience.
  • Certification and recertification expenses can be reimbursed for eligible RNs such as ASPMN certification.

Education

RN Diploma, Associates, or B.S. degree in nursing.
