PRN Pain Pump Refill Registered Nurse

About the role

Advanced Infusion Solutions is seeking a Home Health Infusion Registered Nurse to support patients in the Olympia WA area. Consideration will be given for Seattle WA or Portland, OR areas. This PRN opportunity offers the flexibility to manage your own schedule while meeting the needs of patients throughout the region, with travel that may extend up to 200 miles.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with the prescribing provider, patient, and their caregivers; ensures orders are received, implemented, and they are appropriate and actionable.
• Acts in a manner consistent with all applicable State Board of Nursing standards; successfully completes the company assigned training program.
• Educates patients and caregivers to assist the patient with symptom management to improve quality of life.
• Provide pain management and spasticity medication infusion therapies in our patients' homes or in a clinical setting.
• Manage a census of patients with implanted intrathecal pumps, providing intermittent care and ongoing plan of care oversight.
• Visit patients in greater Olympia, Washington and surrounding areas with occasional travel of up to three hours.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse with current license in state of residence and the ability to be licensed in the others.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Have and maintain current CPR certification.
• Strong clinical background.
• Ability to quickly assess and react to changes in patient conditions.
• Strong written, verbal, organizational and teamwork skills.
• Excellent customer service and critical thinking skills; Ability to work independently and to be resourceful; Proactive problem solver.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook and Word, and use of smartphones and tablets.

Qualifications

• 3 years clinical nursing experience.
• Preferred qualifications include: Implanted intrathecal pump management.

Travel time is paid and mileage is reimbursed. Certified and recertified expenses can be reimbursed for eligible RNs such as ASPMN certification.

Additional Information
