A well-established health insurance agency in the Tampa, FL area is seeking a Private Health Benefits Agent to join their growing sales team. Operating in the fast-paced health and life insurance industry, our client specializes in helping individuals and families navigate both On-Market (ACA) and Off-Market private health insurance options. Job Description

The Private Health Benefits Agent is responsible for providing a wide range of support services to promote the company's On- and Off-Market product portfolio via telephone and internet channels, driving revenue growth and profitability. This position offers uncapped monthly earnings potential through a compensation package that combines a competitive hourly rate plus commission, along with a solid training program to set you up for long-term success.

Responsibilities

  • Promote the company's product portfolio and provide service assistance to consumers.
  • Respond to consumer inquiries through inbound calls and internet inquiries.
  • Deliver prepared sales scripts to educate, inform, and provide solutions to potential customers.
  • Describe tailored solutions for individual sales situations.
  • Communicate with consumers regularly regarding product information, rate changes, and key benefits.
  • Monitor compliance with program reporting rules and sales requirements.
  • Document every consumer contact with detailed notes.
  • Work collaboratively with fellow staff to advance the values and mission of the organization by serving on relevant internal and external committees.
  • Assist with special projects and assignments as requested by management.

Qualifications

  • Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED. Minimum of one (1) year of experience in insurance, phone sales, financial services, marketing, web-based business, business-to-business customer service, or a call center environment. Strong verbal communication and customer service skills.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Active Life and Health Insurance Agent License. FFM (Federally Facilitated Marketplace) certification. One (1) year of experience selling ACA and private insurance policies. Bilingual in Spanish (strongly preferred).
