Private Duty Nurse RN - Days and Nights

Responsibilities

  • Providing skilled nursing care according to care plans and physician orders
  • Assessing patient conditions, monitoring changes, and reporting to supervisors or physicians
  • Documenting all nursing activities and responses accurately and timely
  • Developing, implementing, and updating individualized care plans
  • Educating patients and families on disease processes, self-care, and prevention
  • Maintaining infection control standards and complying with policies and regulations
  • Participating in ongoing education to enhance nursing competencies

Qualifications

  • Unrestricted, active RN license in the practicing state
  • Current CPR certification
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel
  • Preferred: recent clinical experience (minimum 6 months), home health experience

Skills And Abilities

  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Effective communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, perform mobility tasks, and respond to emergencies

Additional Requirements

  • Proficiency in assessments and documentation
  • Ability to work in diverse environments, possibly exposed to infectious materials
  • Compliance with health and safety standards, including vaccinations where applicable
