Private Duty Nurse

About the role

Seeking a compassionate Private Duty Nurse to provide personalized, one-on-one care in patients' homes. This role involves building meaningful relationships with patients and families while delivering high-quality nursing services.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct, individualized patient care following established care plans
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed
• Monitor and document vital signs, health status, and changes in condition
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
• Perform skilled procedures such as wound care, catheter management, and IV therapy
• Educate patients and families on care techniques, medications, and health management
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records

Qualifications & Skills

• Active RN or LPN license in Illinois
• Previous experience in private duty, home health, or in-home care preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
• CPR/BLS certification
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation to travel to patient homes in the area
