Responsibilities

• Assessing client health status
• Administering medications
• Performing treatments and basic procedures
• Monitoring changes in condition
• Implementing and following care plans
• Documenting nursing care accurately
• Communicating with families, physicians, and supervisors to ensure continuity of care
• Educating clients and caregivers on health management
• Promoting safety and comfort
• Supporting clients with activities of daily living as needed

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Minnesota
• Strong foundational nursing skills
• Experience in Private Duty Nursing or Private Duty care, preferably in home or community-based settings
• Knowledge of basic medicine administration, treatment protocols, and clinical documentation practices

Skills

• Ability to provide person-centered care, including assessment, monitoring, and support for daily living activities
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills when working with clients, families, and care teams
• Reliable, organized, and able to work independently with sound clinical judgment and professional ethics
• CPR certification and familiarity with infection control and safety standards
• Ability to meet physical demands of in-home care (standing, walking, lifting, repositioning)
• Valid driver’s license
