Private Companies Attorney: 3rd-7th year

About the role

The Cooley private companies team in Seattle is seeking 3rd–7th year associates to advise disruptive companies and their investors. Ideal candidates will have at least three years of experience with venture-backed companies, including venture capital financings and liquidity events.

Responsibilities

• Counseling venture-backed companies on general corporate matters throughout their growth cycle
• Participating in venture capital financings and liquidity events
• Working closely with clients to understand their business needs and goals
• Assisting with mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and other corporate transactions

Requirements

• At least three years of substantial experience working with early-stage and growth-stage companies
• Experience in the corporate department of a national or international law firm
• A strong academic record from a nationally recognized law school

Pay

The expected annual pay range for this position is $260,000-$420,000. Final offer amount will be dependent on applicable experience and skillset of the candidate.
