Private Companies: 3rd-6th - Life Sciences Focus
About the role
Cooley is seeking 3rd–6th year associates to join its elite private companies team, advising disruptive companies and the investors who fund them.
Ideal candidates will have deep experience counseling venture-backed companies on general corporate matters throughout their growth cycle, including venture capital financings and liquidity events.
Responsibilities
- Counsel venture-backed companies on general corporate matters throughout their growth cycle, including venture capital financings and liquidity events.
- Build and run a practice, participate in speaking engagements, and contribute to the development of Cooley’s national private companies platform.
Requirements
- At least three years of substantial experience working with early-stage and growth-stage companies, particularly in the life sciences sector.
- Demonstrate a strong academic record from a nationally recognized law school.
Qualifications
- Experience in the corporate department of a national or international law firm, specifically working with life sciences companies.

Pay
The expected annual pay range for this position is $260,000 - $390,000.
