Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain operating and transaction financial models, including 3-statement models, DCFs, and introductory LBO and return models
  • Analyze investment returns, capital structures, leverage profiles, and downside scenarios
  • Perform valuation analyses using comparable companies, precedent transactions, and intrinsic valuation methods
  • Support underwriting and scenario analysis for new investments, add-on acquisitions, and recapitalizations
  • Support diligence across financial, accounting, and commercial workstreams
  • Analyze historical and projected financial performance, KPIs, cash flows, and unit economics
  • Review quality-of-earnings findings and summarize key insights
  • Aid in synthesizing third-party diligence materials into clear financial takeaways
  • Assist in drafting investment memoranda, financial exhibits, and presentation materials
  • Summarize key risks, sensitivities, and return drivers
  • Provide analytical support throughout the transaction process, including signing and closing
  • Support ongoing portfolio company financial monitoring and reporting
  • Assist with budget reviews, variance analysis, and covenant tracking
  • Contribute to analysis for bolt-on acquisitions, refinancings, dividend recaps, and exit scenarios
  • Help track portfolio performance relative to original underwriting assumptions

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Strong Excel skills and comfort building and auditing financial and valuation models
  • Solid understanding of accounting, corporate finance, and valuation fundamentals
  • Prior internships or experience in investment banking, private equity, transaction advisory, consulting, or corporate finance is beneficial
  • Demonstrated interest in financial analysis, investing, or transaction-oriented work
