Print Shop Operator (Part-Time)

About the role

Trident Technical College’s award-winning Marketing department is seeking a part-time print shop operator to run Konica Minolta AccurioPress monochrome and color printers. This position will meet the college’s print needs for academic classroom materials, internal promotional materials, and external marketing materials. Print jobs will range from simple handouts to folded color brochures and booklets.

Responsibilities

• Operate Konica Minolta AccurioPress monochrome and color digital presses
• Produce academic classroom materials, internal promotional materials, and external marketing materials
• Handle print jobs ranging from simple handouts to folded color brochures and booklets
• Use Fiery color management and imposition software
• Operate a large paper cutter and optimize printing to maximize paper use
• Maintain accurate records in a spreadsheet program and generate regular reports
• Communicate clearly in person and in writing, providing and receiving constructive feedback professionally
• Work under pressure, prioritize assignments, and meet tight deadlines
• Resolve printing-related issues for the college

Requirements

• High school diploma
• Experience in producing printed materials (a bachelor's degree in a related field may substitute for work experience)

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency with multi-stage color and monochrome digital presses
• Experience with Fiery color management and imposition software
• Solid understanding of paper types, sizes, finishes, and weights
• Ability to stand, bend, and carry items weighing 50 pounds or less; ability to twist, stoop, bend, reach, lift, and pull
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Experience with Konica Minolta presses (a plus, but not required)
