Print Shop Operator (Part-Time)

About the Role

Trident Technical College’s award-winning Marketing department seeks a part-time print shop operator to run Konica Minolta AccurioPress monochrome and color printers. The role will produce academic classroom materials, internal promotional pieces, and external marketing collateral ranging from simple handouts to folded color brochures and booklets.

Responsibilities

• Operate Konica Minolta AccurioPress monochrome and color digital presses
• Produce a variety of printed materials including handouts, folded brochures, and booklets
• Manage Fiery color workflows and imposition software
• Select and handle diverse paper stocks (types, sizes, finishes, weights)
• Operate a large paper cutter and optimize layouts to minimize waste
• Maintain accurate production records in spreadsheets and generate regular reports
• Communicate clearly with stakeholders, provide and receive constructive feedback
• Prioritize tasks, meet tight deadlines, and troubleshoot printing issues

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience producing printed materials
• Physical ability to stand, bend, lift, and carry items up to 50 pounds; twist, stoop, reach, pull

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (may substitute for required experience)
• Proficiency with multi-stage color and monochrome digital presses
• Experience with Fiery color management and imposition software
• Experience with Konica Minolta presses
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
