Print Production Facility Associate

About the role

This role is based in a dedicated Staples Digital Print Facility, not in a retail store. The facility handles large print orders originating from Staples stores. We provide training and cross-training in various functions of our print operations. For some openings, we can offer schedule flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Follow production workflow to produce a high volume of work.
• Operate a variety of finishing equipment including cutters, drills, and bindery.
• Prepare and troubleshoot various file formats, converting them to PDF print-ready status.
• Ensure all work produced aligns with the job ticket and meets customer quality expectations.
• Properly use and care for all equipment, complying with operating instructions and maintenance schedules.
• Partner with the Production Facility Lead for the timely processing of projects.
• Be flexible to perform other duties as assigned; may also serve as a backup driver.

Requirements

• Attention to detail and sound organizational skills.
• Experience managing multiple priorities.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, identify problems or missing information, and address them proactively.
• Basic computer skills (e.g., able to size and print documents).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a print environment.
• Experience using and editing PDF files in a digital print manufacturing environment.
