Job Description

This position supports the creation of high-quality printed and digital materials by running print and bindery machines, ensuring every order meets the customer’s expectations. This role thrives on teamwork, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operate a variety of equipment, including digital printers, cutters, folders, and bindery machines, to complete jobs efficiently and accurately.
  • Follow detailed job tickets to ensure proper specifications are met for each project.
  • Conduct quality checks throughout production and verify the finished product before shipping.
  • Collaborate closely with coworkers and leadership to align on project timelines, priorities, and changes.
  • Support a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and participating in training programs (e.g., forklift certification, lockout/tagout).
  • Perform daily equipment upkeep and communicate maintenance needs or mechanical issues to the appropriate team members.
  • Suggest process improvements and share ideas or concerns to help optimize workflow and productivity.
  • Assist with packaging, labeling, and preparing materials for shipment as needed.

  • Education and/or Experience:
    • A High School diploma or equivalent
    • Effective communication, both verbal and written
  • Desired Skills:
    • Experience with cross-media products, print, and digital
  • Mental Requirements:
    • Reading, writing, and calculating
    • Interpersonal skills
    • Reasoning/analysis
    • Work with minimal supervision
  • Equipment/Tools Used:
    • Personal computer, phone, calculator, press and bindery equipment
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Light work (lift up to 10 lbs): Frequent – Office equipment and supplies, manuals, books, etc.
    • Medium work (lift 15-25 lbs): Frequent – Boxes and stacks of manuals, books, etc.
    • Heavy work (lift 25-50 lbs): Occasional – Pallets
    • Other physical requirements: standing for long periods of time, up to 10 hours
  • Required Testing:
    • Pre-employment: Omnipress is a drug-free workplace. Applicants being considered for hire must pass a drug and alcohol test before beginning work. Refusal to submit to testing will result in disqualification from further employment consideration.
