Responsibilities

• Perform a full range of configuration and connection of MFPs to customer’s networks and systems, including installation and configuration of print drivers and other software on customer’s computer systems, as well as customer training.
• Troubleshoot connectivity, printing, scanning problems as well as computer and network problems as necessary (as they relate to GFI equipment).
• Understand printing from a large variety of software as well as configuration and use of print drivers.
• Update firmware on a large variety of equipment.
• Maintain and manage a territory and all calls & installs in that territory.
• Responsible for the maintenance and protection of company property.
• Complete all required administrative tasks (paperwork) in an accurate and timely manner.
• Must complete all assigned computer-based online training.
• Under the supervision of Field Support IT Manager or Service Manager, follow company training programs, policies, and guidelines.
• Demonstrate appropriate technical skills for the installation, support of connected equipment and related software.
• Troubleshoot customer’s connectivity issues and provide customer training.
• Attend scheduled training/instruction when necessary to acquire/increase working knowledge of connectivity, networking, software applications, color calibration, and color management techniques.
• Receive direction and perform assignments relative to the installation and configuration of office equipment that may be new and unfamiliar.
• Research problems on vendor’s websites and other online resources.
• Install firmware updates, configuration of drivers, and machine settings related to printing, scanning, and document server functions.
• Ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction with both our products and services.
• Understand and utilize problem escalation procedures.
• Maintain productive and professional relationships with all GFI employees, customers, and vendors.

Qualifications

• Customer Service Experience.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• A+ or Network+ Certification (Preferred).
