Principal Technical Program Manager
About the role
For our client, we are seeking a Principal Technical Program Manager to join the team of a leader in the Aerospace & Defense space. This role will drive technical program execution across engineering, program, and customer-facing teams in support of mission-critical defense efforts. The Principal Technical Program Manager will help translate operational needs into actionable requirements, assess technical concepts against customer mission objectives, and strengthen decision-making through clear design feedback and expert recommendations. This is a highly cross-functional position focused on aligning technical plans, stakeholder expectations, and program outcomes in a complex government environment. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineering and program teams to support effective program execution
- Evaluate technical concepts for alignment with customer mission requirements
- Provide customer teams with expert recommendations and design feedback
- Translate operational needs into actionable and testable requirements
- Serve as a subject matter expert in technical program management
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field
- 8+ years of relevant experience
- Experience in integration and operation of DoD communication systems
- Program management experience and ability to execute technical plans
- Familiarity with government acquisition processes and policies
- Proven stakeholder engagement and customer relationship management skills
Pay
$107,500 – $204,500 annually
