Principal Specialist, Project Management ( R&O Manager)

About the role
Land and Air Defense Systems (LADS) is seeking a Risk & Opportunity Project Manager to join their Product Support team. In this position, you will support programs within the Product Support portfolio, including Global Patriot. You will engage directly with program teams in execution, advocate program management plans and processes, and implement best practices. This onsite role is available in McKinney, Texas; Tucson, Arizona; Lawton, Oklahoma; Tewksbury, Massachusetts; or Huntsville, Alabama.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all program risk and opportunity (R&O) across multiple life-cycle phases, including Production and Sustainment.
- Execute Risk & Opportunity (R&O) reporting and analysis to drive predictable results.
- Interface regularly with internal partners across the Raytheon business.
- Engage in cross-functional partnerships with matrixed program managers, Program Integrators (PIs), and Integrated Product Team Leads (IPTLs).
- Travel internationally and domestically for customer, company, and program-related activities (approximately 10% of the role).
Qualifications
You Must Have
- University degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
- Experience with program risk and opportunity (R&O) management processes.
- Experience with program management tools such as Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS), Estimate at Completes (EACs), and/or Integrated Master Plan or Schedule (IMP/IMS).
We Prefer
- Experience with program risk and opportunity (R&O) processes related to program revenue and profit recognition.
- Experience with Production and Sustainment programs and strategies under FMS and DCS contracts.
- Experience developing and reviewing basis of estimates.
- PMP or Raytheon Program Manager 6 Certification or higher, or Raytheon EVMS Certification.
- Demonstrated knowledge of program processes, financial planning and execution, EACs, EVM, and key metrics (Bookings, Sales, Earnings & Cash).
- Prior defense industry experience supporting the product life cycle.
- PMP or Raytheon Program Manager 6 Certification or higher, with the ability to obtain PM Level 6 within 12 months.
- Experience with the Program Management (PMX) Tool Suite.
- Proven experience working with geographically dispersed, multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong communication, influence management, and presentation skills, with the ability to interact comfortably with internal and external stakeholders at all leadership levels.
- Ability to operate independently to navigate organizational complexities and obtain resources.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite, including Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas), Project, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Pay
The salary range for this role is $86,800 – $165,200 USD. The range is a good-faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including role, function, responsibilities, work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
