Location: Baltimore, Maryland | Type: Contract-to-Hire | Work Model: Remote | Hours: 40 hours per week
Responsibilities
- Translate business strategy into solution architecture by leading solution architecture deliverables for large, complex portfolios, programs, or product lines, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and standards.
- Define and communicate shared technical and architectural visions across teams, balancing needs from both business and domain perspectives.
- Collaborate with peer Solution Architects to maintain consistency and integration across designs.
- Lead solutions design and analysis for complex projects, defining components, subsystems, and interfaces, ensuring seamless integration within the enterprise ecosystem.
- Responsible for recommendations on critical design decisions and trade-offs that best meet business needs.
- Orchestrate solution delivery by communicating architecture plans, directing implementation governance, and supporting the development of architecture enablers.
- Partner with project managers, product owners, and business leadership to define and support architectural solutions supporting future business growth.
- Maintain industry and technology expertise, evaluating emerging technologies, and applying best practices for architecture and system modernization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as an infrastructure or solution architect, preferably within healthcare.
- Proven experience in large-scale systems development, implementation, and maintenance across multiple platforms.
- Recent solution/domain architecture experience with Facets G6 claims processing, data management, and third-party integrations.
- Expertise in healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR, X12) and regulations (HIPAA, CMS, NCQA).
- Experience with architecture refactoring, modernization, and legacy platform retirement planning.
- Familiarity with enterprise architectures involving Salesforce Health Cloud/Data Cloud, MuleSoft, Kafka, Azure Fabric, or similar platforms.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to influence and motivate cross-organizational teams to meet architecture objectives.
- Recent payer or provider healthcare experience is a plus.
