Principal People Partner (GTM & G&A)
Skylo has pioneered a standards-based approach to satellite connectivity. We connect smartphones and IoT devices directly to satellites—no special hardware, no entirely new networks. Billions of existing devices are suddenly reachable anywhere on Earth. Our direct-to-device service is live on millions of activated devices across five continents, covering more than 72 million square kilometers, in partnership with leading satellite operators, mobile network operators, Tier-1 chipset makers, and OEMs worldwide.
At the heart of it all is Skylo's commercial NTN vRAN: a 3GPP standards-based, cloud-native platform that seamlessly bridges terrestrial and satellite networks. When you join Skylo, you'll work at the intersection of three markets reshaping global connectivity: mass-market consumer devices, automotive, and industrial IoT, enabling people outdoors and critical workflows in the world's most remote places.
This position follows a hybrid schedule, with candidates expected to be onsite 3 days per week.
About the role

This is a hands-on, individual contributor role requiring a sophisticated understanding of how diverse business functions integrate to drive a global enterprise.
Responsibilities
- Executive Partnership: Act as the primary People Partner for the CFO, CRO, and other business executives, providing strategic guidance on leadership effectiveness and high-stakes decision-making.
- GTM Scaling: Partner with the CRO on the organizational design of the sales and marketing functions, including talent planning for global expansion and advising on performance cultures that drive revenue.
- Corporate Governance & Ops: Support the CFO and Regulatory leads in building out robust, compliant, and fiscally disciplined teams.
- Manager Coaching: Coach and mentor leaders at all levels to enhance their management capabilities, specifically focusing on high-pressure commercial and regulatory environments.
- Global Liaison: Serve as the key bridge between the Business/G&A organizations and the broader People & Talent team, ensuring consistent implementation of compensation, career development, and performance programs.
- Systemic Execution: Maintain a detail-oriented approach to people-related initiatives, ensuring the business side remains cohesive, culturally aligned, and operationally excellent as the company grows.
- International Support: Travel internationally up to two times per year to support global business hubs and initiatives.
- Workforce Planning: Build a lightweight and repeatable way for the executive team to sequence hires against budget and business need without adding bureaucracy.
- Executive Bandwidth: Create strategic capacity for the executive team by reducing day-to-day firefighting and addressing people issues proactively.
- Succession Planning: Map bench strength and single points of failure across critical roles, and develop credible succession plans.
- Manager Capability: Lift the standard of management across the company.
- Global Expansion: Support entity set-up in new markets as our international headcount grows.
Requirements
- Experience: 12+ years in an HR or People Partner role, with a heavy emphasis on supporting Executive GTM and G&A functions (Sales, Finance, Legal, etc.).
- Business Sophistication: Proven experience in a fast-growing tech environment, with an understanding of sales incentive structures, financial planning cycles, and regulatory hurdles.
- Strategic Advisory: Ability to translate business goals (e.g., "Enter the European market") into actionable people plans (e.g., "Hire a regional lead, establish local compliance, and align sales comp").
- Influence: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide "tough love" coaching and influence senior C-suite executives.
- Action-Oriented: A results-driven mindset with a bias toward implementation; comfortable being the "right-hand" to the CFO/CRO while ensuring their teams remain integrated with the rest of the company.
- Communication: Exceptional presentation and listening skills; ability to navigate complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
Benefits
- Competitive compensation packages including a stock option-based equity program.
- Comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans.
