About the role

The Global Trade Analyst - level 3 position is within the Launch and Exploration Division of Northrop Grumman Space Systems. This is a hybrid position with a 9/80 work schedule. The position requires a US Secret level security clearance and is open for consideration in Chandler, Gilbert, Redondo Beach, Falls Church, Elkton, McLean, Dulles, Linthicum, and Promontory, UT.

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and interpretation of USG regulations, including ITAR, EAR, BATFE, Anti-boycott Regulations, US Census and Customs Regulations.
  • Work with various functional areas to determine their export/import needs and prepare and submit necessary export/import authorization requests.
  • Manage post approval activities such as recordkeeping, reporting requirements, approvals for data exports, and international shipping authorizations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to meet business requirements and ensure full compliance with all regulatory agencies.
  • Present in meetings, training environments, and respond to questions related to export/import compliance.
  • Support corrective action implementation and negotiate export/import control issues with internal and external customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience in import or export trade compliance and/or international contracts, or 9 years of experience in these fields.
  • Basic knowledge of ITAR, EAR, and other US Government Export Regulations.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Secret level security clearance.

Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of Customs/Census, FAR/DFARS, TINA and other US Government Regulations.
  • Experience in reviewing and understanding contracts and associated scope of work and requirements.
  • Proficiency with DESCARTE OCR EASE Export & Import Global Trade Compliance Software.
  • Experience providing training to export licensing personnel and functional requesters.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
