Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of electrical engineers supporting aircraft modification, system integration, and testing.
  • Oversee the preparation, review, and approval of electrical engineering documentation (schematics, wiring diagrams, specifications).
  • Organize and drive technical reviews, design verification, and readiness assessments.
  • Collaborate closely with mechanical, systems, and test engineering leads to achieve seamless multidisciplinary integration.
  • Be fluent in Avionics, systems and Electrical (power generation and distribution) interface and functionality.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to design, integration, and testing.
  • Knowable and experienced with all applicable safety, quality, and regulatory standards (FAA, DoD, RTCA, SAE, MIL-STD, etc.).
  • Support configuration management, change control, and best practice adoption for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 14+ years of experience in electrical engineering or a related role.
  • Expert proficiency in electrical/electronic design and validation techniques.
  • Advanced knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
  • Thorough understanding of Computer Aided Engineering tools for Electrical Engineering applications.
  • Demonstrated experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
  • Expert knowledge of electrical/electronic system federal rules and regulations, including Electrical Wiring Interconnection System (EWIS) requirements.
  • Knowledgeable and experienced with all applicable safety, quality, and regulatory standards (FAA, DoD, RTCA, SAE, MIL-STD, etc.).
  • Familiarity with systems engineering processes, configuration management, and regulatory compliance.

Essential Functions

  • Ability to work on a computer for extended periods.
  • Ability to travel as required.
  • Ability to work in an office or hybrid environment.
  • Precision in designing, testing and troubleshooting electrical/electronic systems and components.
  • Ability to analyze complex electrical/electronic systems and evaluate performance data to identify problems and improve designs.
  • Clearly convey technical information, design specifications, and project updates to team members, stakeholders, and management.
  • Ability to understand technical documents, electrical/electronic schematics, and electronic instrument measurements.
  • Ability to handle small components, tools, and equipment with precisions.

Pay

Annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
