Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the construction of data centers by colocation providers, ensuring all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, coordinating with colocation providers to ensure timely delivery of milestones.
- Analyze projects independently to evaluate the risk profiles associated with timely delivery, address gaps in risk identification and mitigation, and inform the business of associated potential impacts.
- Work closely throughout design, construction, and commissioning to fully coordinate and integrate the separate scope of tenant fit out projects with the base building projects.
- Implement and oversee quality control processes to ensure all construction activities meet design specifications and industry standards.
- Collaborate with design teams to ensure that construction activities align with the approved design plans and specifications.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the company and colocation providers, facilitating clear and effective communication.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Ensure all construction activities comply with relevant regulations, codes, and standards.
- Provide ongoing colocation provider evaluation input for continuous improvement.
- Regular project visits to ensure schedule, coordination, and quality will be required throughout the life of the project on a regular basis. 50% + travel required.
Qualifications
- Experience in managing construction projects for data centers and colocation providers.
- Proven ability to lead and manage teams effectively.
- Strong project management skills, including scheduling, risk assessment, and quality assurance.
- Knowledge of data center infrastructure and construction practices.
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders, including clients and partners.
- Experience with risk management and mitigation strategies.
- Comprehensive understanding of regulatory compliance and industry standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Pay
Hiring Range in USD: $126,200 - $264,100 per year.
