About the Role

As a Principal Consultant, you will be a key player in the consulting team that helps clients define problem statements, evaluate solution options, and make recommendations. You will plan configuration activities, configure the product as per design, conduct conference room pilots, and assist in resolving queries related to requirements and solution design. Responsibilities include conducting solution/product demonstrations, POC/Proof of Technology workshops, and preparing effort estimates aligned with customer budgetary requirements and organizational financial guidelines. You will also support knowledge transfer to provide value-adding consulting solutions that enable clients to meet the changing needs of the global landscape.

Responsibilities

• Define problem statements and evaluate solution options for clients.
• Plan and execute configuration activities based on design specifications.
• Conduct conference room pilots and resolve queries related to requirements and solution design.
• Perform solution and product demonstrations, including POC/Proof of Technology workshops.
• Prepare effort estimates that align with customer budgets and organizational financial guidelines.
• Support knowledge transfer to deliver value-adding consulting solutions.
• Configure SAP EWM for Outbound, Inbound, and Internal processes, including VAS, Quality Inspections, EGR, Wave Management, Physical Inventory, and Posting Changes.
• Create and manage Master Data, such as Packaging Specifications, Warehouse Organizational Structure, and Handling Unit settings.
• Configure and modify the Post Processing Framework in SAP EWM.
• Set up system integration between SAP ERP and SAP EWM.
• Implement Labor Management, Yard Management, and Cross Docking in EWM.
• Develop and manage interfaces (RFCALEIDocWeb Services).
• Perform system enhancements, configuration, analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and documentation.
• Handle data migration and queue monitoring/resolution.
• Document customer requirements and specifications.
• Collaborate with offshore teams and coordinate work delivery between onsite and offshore.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution (or three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education).
• 10–15+ years of experience in Information Technology as a Principal Consultant.
• End-to-end knowledge of business processes.
• At least one full-cycle EWM implementation (preferred).
• Strong understanding of SAP EWM Outbound, Inbound, and Internal processes, including VAS, Quality Inspections, EGR, Wave Management, Physical Inventory, and Posting Changes.
• Experience in creating Master Data, such as Packaging Specifications, Warehouse Organizational Structure, and Handling Unit settings.
• Sound knowledge and experience in configuring/modifying the Post Processing Framework in SAP EWM.
• Expertise in setting up system integration between SAP ERP and SAP EWM.
• Knowledge of implementing Labor Management, Yard Management, and Cross Docking in EWM.
• Experience in interface development (RFCALEIDocWeb Services).
• Experience in system enhancements, configuration, analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and documentation.
• Experience in data migration and queue monitoring/resolution.

Skills

• Solid background in SAP EWM functional design, technical development, and integration troubleshooting.
• Proven experience in both EWM functional and technical roles across multiple full-cycle implementations.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations and supply chain business processes.
• Expertise in SAP EWM integration with WCS, TMS, ERP, carrier systems, and third-party logistics providers.
• Proficiency in integration technologies: IDoc, RFC, BAPI, Web Services (SOAP/REST), SAP PI/PO, CPI, MuleSoft.
• Strong knowledge of SAP MM, SD, TM, and PP integration points.
• Experience with RF frameworks, POSC, LOSC, WOCR, and automation solutions.
• Skilled in ABAP development, BADIs, user exits, and performance optimization.
• Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and debugging skills.
• Strong communication skills for stakeholder engagement and cross-team collaboration.
• Ability to mentor and lead technical and functional teams.
• At least 10 years of experience in configuration, solutions evaluation, validation, and development.
• Strong client-facing experience, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work with offshore teams and coordinate work delivery.
• Good understanding of Inventory, Warehouse, and Shipping business processes, including integration with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and 3PL business processes.
