Principal SAP EWM Consultant

About the role

This is a contract position in Irving, TX, requiring a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution, or three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education. The ideal candidate will have at least 10-15 years of experience with Information Technology, specifically as a Principal Consultant, with end-to-end knowledge of business processes.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have experience with SAP EWM, including Outbound, Inbound, and Internal processes, as well as knowledge of VAS, Quality Inspections, and EGR. They will also have experience in creating Master Data, configuring Post Processing Framework, and setting up system integration between SAP ERP and SAP EWM. Additionally, they will have expertise in implementing Labor Management, Yard Management, and Cross Docking in EWM, as well as experience in interface development, system enhancements, and configuration.

Requirements

• At least 10-15 years of experience with Information Technology (Principal Consultant)
• Business processes end-to-end knowledge
• 1 full cycle EWM implementation is a plus
• Good understanding of SAP EWM Outbound, Inbound, and Internal processes
• Experience in creation of Master Data (e.g., Packaging Specifications, Warehouse Organizational Structure)
• Sound knowledge and experience in configuring/modifying Post Processing Framework in SAP EWM
• Strong expertise in setting up system integration between SAP ERP with SAP EWM

Skills

• Solid background in SAP EWM functional design, technical development, and integration troubleshooting
• Proven experience in both EWM functional and technical roles across multiple full-cycle implementations
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations and supply chain business processes
• Expertise in SAP EWM integration with WCS, TMS, ERP, carrier systems, and third-party logistics providers
• Proficiency in integration technologies (e.g., IDoc, RFC, BAPI, Web Services, SAP PI/PO, CPI, MuleSoft)
• Strong knowledge of SAP MM, SD, TM, PP integration points
• Experience with RF frameworks, POSC, LOSC, WOCR, and automation solutions
• Skilled in ABAP development, BADIs, user exits, and performance optimization
• Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and debugging skills
• Strong communication skills for stakeholder engagement and cross-team collaboration
• Ability to mentor and lead technical and functional teams

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in Configuration/solutions evaluation/Validation/Development, with strong client-facing experience, great communication and presentation skills, and the ability to work with offshore teams and coordinate work delivery between onsite and offshore.
