Principal Associate, Project Management - Partnerships Technology Team (Hybrid)

As a Principal Associate, Project Manager on the Capital One Card Partnerships Technology team, you will support and lead the technical oversight, integration and technical operations of corporate customers, working with cross‑functional, multi‑platform application systems and teams to ensure solutions are well managed with rigorous risk management practices.
Responsibilities
- Support and lead the technical oversight, integration and technical operations of corporate customers.
- Ensure customer satisfaction with technical products and services by negotiating mutually beneficial agreements across customers, stakeholders, and technical teams.
- Quickly understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
- Conduct analysis, gain support, and drive solutions through influence and negotiation.
- Communicate across and up through partner and Capital One leadership to provide timely and accurate information.
- Continuously learn and analyze complex, interconnected business processes and systems to ensure risks are well managed and controls are effective.
- Assist with intent grooming to ensure acceptance criteria and conditions of satisfaction clearly define “done” for agile delivery teams.
- Focus on quality, resilience, and performance of technologies and services utilized for the partner.
- Work closely with software engineering teams to find creative solutions to problems and remove impediments to delivery.
Basic Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification.
- At least 3 years of Project Management or Process Management experience.
- At least 3 years of experience with systems integration.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or military experience.
- 4 + years of Project Management or Process Management experience.
- 2 + years of Data Analytics experience.
- 2 + years of experience with SQL or business intelligence tools.
- 2 + years of experience with AWS.
- PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong problem‑solving and influencing skills.
Pay
The minimum and maximum full‑time annual salaries for this role are:
- Chicago, IL: $109,900 – $125,400 for Principal Project Manager
- McLean, VA: $120,800 – $137,900 for Principal Project Manager
- Richmond, VA: $109,900 – $125,400 for Principal Project Manager
Candidates hired in other locations will receive the salary range associated with that location. The role is also eligible for performance‑based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonuses and/or long‑term incentives.
