Primary Plant Operator

About the role

Hinkle Contracting, LLC, a CRH company, seeks a Plant Operator to manage the daily operation of the Aggregate classification plant. The role involves interacting with customers, salespersons, and truck drivers, and performing repair and maintenance duties.

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers, salespersons, and truck drivers
• Operate the aggregate and sand plants safely and efficiently
• Perform maintenance tasks including changing screens and screen decks, inspecting incline conveyors, and other duties as required
• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and permit conditions
• Use computers to complete daily paperwork, including plant production reports and material produced
• Respond to safety hazards and malfunctions
• Avoid working nights and weekends when not required
• Work collaboratively with co-workers and supervisors

Requirements

• Not afraid of heights
• Ability to perform maintenance and repairs on plant parts
• Knowledge of applicable regulations and company policies
• Competent with computers
• Ability to detect and respond to safety hazards
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Physical ability to stand for long periods
• Ability to read and interpret documents and write routine reports
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE)

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Three to six months related experience or training
