Plant Operator

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Maintains compliance with safety and environmental rules and programs.
• Mainters and controls the processing plant equipment and systems from central control room and within the plant.
• Enters daily data on computer and mobile devices to record process conditions and production quantities.
• Communicates with fellow employees and management using various methods.
• Performs regular inspections to detect malfunctions and ensure proper operation.
• Maintains adherence to company training, policies, and procedures.

Education And/or Work Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years’ related work experience.
• Good communicator, work planner with excellent work ethics and good background in computer applications.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.

Working Conditions

• Driving on a daily basis, requiring a valid driver's license and ability to drive safely in different types of weather conditions to various locations.
• Working outdoors in adverse and/or extreme weather conditions.
• Working in temperature extremes due to both weather conditions and operating equipment.
• Working in conditions where frequent loud noises occur.
• Working in areas where hazardous materials require the prolonged wearing of PPE.
• Working in close quarters while kneeling, sitting, squatting, standing, or lying down while holding tools and/or equipment.

Physical Requirements

• Safely and successfully performs essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
• Maintains regular, punctual attendance consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
• Works effectively in all working conditions noted above.
• Lifts, pushes, pulls, and holds equipment and tools.
• Climbs and works at various heights.
• Reacts to visual, aural, and other signals, including alarms and instructions.
• Visually inspects work.
• Able to bend, stoop, move from ground level to higher levels, raise/lift from ground level, carry and lift up to 50 lbs.
