Primary Care RN or LPN
About the role
Under the direction of the primary care operations team, the Primary Care Nurse works directly with Mercy Primary Care Providers to provide safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable, patient‑centered care in a systematic way. The nurse partners with patients, providers, and other members of the clinical care team to drive quality outcomes for an attributed panel. This newly created role manages triage calls and messages for the clinic and collaborates closely with providers.
Schedule & Location
Location: Mercy Clinic Primary Care – Chesterfield Valley, 17701 Edison Ave, Chesterfield, MO 63005.
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 08:00‑16:30. No nights, weekends, or holidays. After a minimum three‑month on‑site training period, the role follows a 50/50 hybrid model with full‑time staff expected to work on‑site five days per pay period and attend monthly on‑site clinic meetings.
Qualifications
LPN
- Education: Diploma in Practical Nursing.
- Licensure: Active LPN license.
- Experience: 2‑3 years preferred.
RN
- Education: Associate of Applied Science in Registered Nursing, graduation from a registered nursing program, or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Alternatively, 4 years of comparable experience in lieu of a BSN.
- Licensure: Active RN license.
- Experience: 2‑3 years preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Proficiency with Epic EMR system.
- Timely and thorough patient triage skills.
- Computer competency (most of the position involves computer work).
- Excellent time management and prioritization.
- Adaptability in a new and changing environment.
