About the role
The Primary Care Nurse works directly with Mercy Primary Care Providers to provide safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable, patient-centered care in a systematic way. The Primary Care Nurse will partner with patients, providers, and other members of the clinical care team to drive quality outcomes for an attributed panel. Duties and responsibilities will be performed in a manner consistent with Mercy’s mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
Location: Mercy Clinic Internal Medicine - Sullivan, 1326 South Service Road West, Sullivan, MO 63080
Schedule
- Monday - Friday, no weekends or holidays
- Must complete a minimum of three months of on-site training prior to transitioning to a hybrid work-from-home schedule
- After training, follows a 50/50 hybrid model: full-time (1.0 FTE) co-workers expected to work on-site five days per pay period
- Must be available to attend monthly on-site clinic meetings

Qualifications
LPN Qualifications
- Education: Diploma in Practical Nursing
- Licensure: Active LPN license
- Experience: 2-3 years of experience strongly preferred
RN Qualifications
- Education: Associate of Applied Science in Registered Nursing, graduation from a registered nursing program, bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN), or 4 years of commensurate experience in lieu of the bachelor’s degree
- Licensure: Active RN license
- Experience: 2-3 years of experience strongly preferred
Skills
- Proficiency with Epic EMR system
- Timely and thorough patient triage skills
- Computer competency (most of this position will be computer work)
- Excellent time management and prioritization
- Adaptability in a new and changing environment
