Position Highlights

• Pay: $165+ an hour
• Contract Type: 1-year contract
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8 am–4:30 pm

About the Role

We are seeking a Primary Care Physician to support the Veteran community in the Hyannis, MA area. This position is open to all candidates, including Locum or Traveling professionals.

Responsibilities

• Direct Patient Care (estimated 95% of time): Provide primary care management of acute and chronic conditions; initial evaluation, treatment, and management of minor wound care, respiratory illness, gastrointestinal illness, burns, musculoskeletal trauma, dermatological illness, ENT, eye, and urological problems; initial evaluation and ongoing management of chronic diseases such as coronary artery disease, atherovascular disease, Type I and II diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, PTSD, depression, and other chronic medical and psychiatric conditions.
• Administrative (estimated 5% of time): tasks not involved in direct patient care.

Requirements

• Authorization to work in the U.S. permanently, without sponsorship.
• Graduate of an accredited medical school with an MD or DO degree.
• Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• Previous experience with the VA is a plus.
