Primary Care Physician
About the role
As OSH’s Primary Care Physician, you will provide non-psychiatric medical evaluation and treatment for adults with severe mental illness in an inpatient forensic psychiatric setting. You will work in collaboration with psychiatric attending providers, who maintain primary responsibility for the overall plan of care. You will serve as a medical consultant to the interdisciplinary treatment team, addressing acute and chronic medical conditions, supporting coordinated care, and contributing to integrated, whole-person treatment planning. With robust on‑site medical services, including cardiology with echocardiogram and EEG, podiatry, speech and language pathology, physical and occupational therapy, dentistry, and optometry, OSH ensures comprehensive care and partners with community hospitals for additional specialties. Across our campuses in Salem, Junction City, and Pendleton, the mission of the Oregon State Hospital is to provide therapeutic, evidence-based, patient-centered treatment focusing on recovery and community reintegration - all in a safe environment. If you are inspired by mission‑driven work and looking to make a meaningful impact, we invite you to consider joining our team at the Oregon State Hospital.
