About the role

Kinwell is hiring a Primary Care Physician to join our clinic in Renton, Washington. We bring agility to work every day and thrive on the opportunity to create something refreshing and new in primary care, focusing on the quality of care rather than the quantity of patient visits.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a panel of patients for a full-spectrum primary care clinic, addressing both acute and chronic care needs.
  • Be curious and proactive in keeping more care within primary care; solve problems, answer questions, and dedicate quality time to learning on behalf of your patients.
  • Develop a high-functioning care team where every member works at the top of their license and scope, aligning teammates’ work with their interests, community needs, and licensure.
  • Provide patients and family members with counseling and education on health maintenance, disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up during each visit.
  • Collaborate with other physicians, specialists, pharmacists, nurses, and healthcare professionals, either in person or via video, in the best interest of patients.
  • Perform minor outpatient procedures in accordance with credentialing and privileging policies.
  • Complete timely and accurate documentation.
  • Provide after-hours care service support as part of the on-call program.
  • (Preferred) Participate in community outreach efforts, such as public relations, serving as an ambassador to community partners, and onboarding/mentoring new teammates.

Requirements

  • Currently licensed or able to be licensed in the state of Washington by hire date.
  • Board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Med-Peds.
  • Unrestricted DEA, NPI, and prescriptive authority.
  • Ability to be credentialed under Medicare.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare strongly preferred at time of hire from American Heart Association (AHA), Red Cross, or Military Training Network (MTN), or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire.
  • Proficient in the use of EMR, with Epic experience strongly preferred.
  • Excellent critical thinking, flexibility, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Working Environment

This position operates in a clinic environment, providing both in-person and telehealth care. Collaboration with various healthcare providers is routine, and participation in wellness programs may also be required.

Physical Requirements

Ability to work in a clinical environment, interact with patients for prolonged periods, and perform duties requiring a high level of concentration and emotional resilience.

Vaccine Requirement

Kinwell Health currently requires all teammates to provide proof of or complete a written attestation of a religious or medical exemption for influenza and Hepatitis B vaccines. Healthcare providers may also be subject to CDC-recommended vaccines.

Pay

The pay for this role will vary based on factors including geographic location, market conditions, and specific skills and experience. National Plus Salary Range: $214,500.00 - $386,100.00. The National Plus salary range is used in higher cost-of-labor markets, including Western Washington and Alaska.
