Primary Care - Certified Medical Assistant

About the role

The Primary Care Patient Care Medical Assistant (MA) works directly with Mercy Primary Care Providers to provide safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable, and patient-centered care in a systematic way. The MA will partner with patients, providers, and other members of the clinical care team to drive quality outcomes for all patients. Duties and responsibilities will be performed in a manner consistent with Mercy’s mission, values, and Service Standards.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with providers and the care team to deliver patient-centered care
• Perform duties within the scope of practice for a Medical Assistant
• Attend MA Clinic Academy training as a new hire

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program (preferred)
• One year of applicable patient care experience or medical office experience (preferred)
