About the role

The MA II works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. The MA II performs all aspects of the MA I role and is fully competent in the clinical needs/functions for the assigned clinic/location. Expected to perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in providing patient care under the delegation of a licensed practitioner.
  • Perform all duties of an MA I, demonstrating full competence in clinical needs and functions for the assigned clinic/location.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands-on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants, or
  • Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program, or
  • Completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces, or
  • Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes clinical skills such as obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration, or
  • Upon hire: Washington Medical Assistant Certification.
  • Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
  • 6 months of healthcare experience.
  • 6 months of Medical Assistant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Upon hire: National Medical Assistant Certification.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $26.47 - $40.49 per hour. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Schedule

Full time, Day shift.
