About the role

The Pricing Specialist assists buyers to maximize sales and profitability by implementing strategies, analyzing sales trends, and reacting appropriately. The position works under general supervision while exercising independent judgment, adhering to CSC/CGX policies, and maintaining professionalism and teamwork.

Location: Chesapeake, VA – Headquarters. Opening Date: 02 October 2026. Closing Date: Until Filled. Pay Plan/Series/Pay Band: NF-1106-03.

Responsibilities

• Assists Buyer/Associate Buyer or Assistant Buyer to maximize sales and profitability of a given area of business through the implementation of a strategy, analysis, and appropriate reaction to sales trends.
• Works under the general supervision of the Buyer/Associate Buyer or Assistant Buyer.
• Operates independently within the framework of CSC/CGX policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Exercises independent judgment and approach in routine and non‑routine situations.
• Consults with supervisor on policy matters, deviations from normal procedures, or unusual situations.
• Maintains professionalism and courteous behavior at all times, works as a team player, and provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
• Performance is evaluated on operational performance, skills evaluations, customer service, collaboration and teamwork, leadership, and established individual performance objectives.
• Maintains collaborative partnerships with vendors, internal and external colleagues.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two years general experience in merchandising, administration or an Associate’s degree.
• Experience in Microsoft Office with basic Excel experience.
• Occasional lifting up to 20 lbs may be required.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with emphasis in retail, business administration or a related field.
• Preferred: Experience working in a team/collaborative environment.
• Preferred: Experience with business analysis.
• Preferred: Advanced Excel skills.
• Preferred: Experience in Merchandise Information System in a multi‑store environment.
• Preferred: Experience in a retail store or e‑commerce environment in sales, merchandising, or customer service.
