About the role
DSV – Global Transport and Logistics is seeking a Pricing Analyst to join our Air & Sea team in Iselin, Wood Ave, USA. The role will support quoting DSV US Air and Sea shipments within the established pricing framework, working closely with regions, sub-regions, branches, sales, and operations to drive business growth and retention.
Responsibilities
- Produce accurate and timely quotes within the defined pricing system to support Operations or Sales customer requests.
- Collaborate with sales and operations teams to understand customer needs and develop pricing proposals that meet those needs.
- Analyze pricing data and trends to identify areas where pricing strategies need attention and optimization.
- Monitor individual pricing performance and identify areas for improvement to win business.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure pricing strategies align with overall business objectives.
- Support the maintenance of pricing databases.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in a pricing or analytical role in the transportation and logistics industry.
- 6+ years of experience in the transportation and logistics industry.
Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work with large amounts of data.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other analytical tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, economics, mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience with pricing in the transportation and logistics industry.
- Experience in transportation and logistics operations.
Language Skills
- Fluent in English (oral and written).
Computer Literacy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other analytical tools.
- Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is preferred.
Pay
The expected base pay for this position is $31.00 - $38.00 per hour. Actual base compensation will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, geographic location, and other objective business considerations.
