Preventative Maintenance Technician (1st Shift)
Responsibilities
- Inspecting Equipment
- Regularly check machinery for wear, leaks, and other potential issues.
- Applying Lubricants
- Apply appropriate lubricants (grease, oil, etc.) to moving parts and components as needed.
- Diagnose and Repair
- Diagnose and repair minor mechanical problems related to lubrication or other maintenance tasks.
- Keep Records
- Keep detailed records of inspections, lubrication, repairs, and parts used.
- Ensure Proper Labeling
- Ensure that all containers and secondary containers are properly labeled.
- Maintain SDS Sheets
- Coordinate with EHS Manager to maintain and update Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for materials as required.
- Secure Storage
- Maintain and secure storage of lubricating supplies to prevent unauthorized access.
- Dispose of Waste
- Properly dispose of oil changes, filter replacements, and other waste oil and oily waste products.
- Order Supplies
- Order replacement parts or supplies needed for repairs or maintenance and maintain adequate inventory.
- Adhere to Safety Guidelines
- Adhere to safety guidelines and use appropriate tools and equipment.
Requirements
- High school or High school equivalency
- Must be able to stand and/or bend for long periods of time (Varied based on daily tasks)
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
- Must have good hand/eye coordination.
