Preventative Maintenance Technician (1st Shift)

Responsibilities

• Inspecting Equipment
• Regularly check machinery for wear, leaks, and other potential issues.
• Applying Lubricants
• Apply appropriate lubricants (grease, oil, etc.) to moving parts and components as needed.
• Diagnose and Repair
• Diagnose and repair minor mechanical problems related to lubrication or other maintenance tasks.
• Keep Records
• Keep detailed records of inspections, lubrication, repairs, and parts used.
• Ensure Proper Labeling
• Ensure that all containers and secondary containers are properly labeled.
• Maintain SDS Sheets
• Coordinate with EHS Manager to maintain and update Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for materials as required.
• Secure Storage
• Maintain and secure storage of lubricating supplies to prevent unauthorized access.
• Dispose of Waste
• Properly dispose of oil changes, filter replacements, and other waste oil and oily waste products.
• Order Supplies
• Order replacement parts or supplies needed for repairs or maintenance and maintain adequate inventory.
• Adhere to Safety Guidelines
• Adhere to safety guidelines and use appropriate tools and equipment.

Requirements

• High school or High school equivalency
• Must be able to stand and/or bend for long periods of time (Varied based on daily tasks)
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
• Must have good hand/eye coordination.
