About the role
NABRICO Marine Products is seeking a safety-focused, detail-oriented Press Operator to join our team in Ashland City, TN.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate hydraulic, mechanical, or punch press equipment to form and fabricate steel components according to production specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, production drawings, and job specifications.
- Verify material dimensions and ensure parts are produced within required tolerances.
- Perform machine set-ups, adjustments, and tooling changes as needed to support production.
- Inspect finished parts to verify quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications.
- Safely load, position, and remove materials from press equipment using proper lifting techniques and material handling equipment.
- Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, or other material handling equipment as needed to stage materials and completed parts.
- Maintain production records and accurately document completed work.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company standards.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Work collaboratively with welders, fitters, saw operators, and other production personnel to support manufacturing operations.
- Participate in safety initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience operating press equipment in a manufacturing, fabrication, or heavy industrial environment is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production drawings.
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure and use precision measuring tools.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to safely set up and adjust manufacturing equipment.
- Experience operating forklifts, overhead cranes, or other material handling equipment is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Excellent attendance, dependability, and commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to safely work around press equipment, forklifts, overhead cranes, and other industrial machinery.
- Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment with exposure to varying temperatures, noise, dust, and industrial conditions.
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays based on production needs.
- Ability to follow work instructions, production schedules, and established procedures while maintaining safety and quality standards.
