About the role
This exciting opportunity is located in Cleveland, Ohio. We are looking for candidates who are either already local or open to relocating to join our team. Relocation Assistance will be offered!
Responsibilities
- Sets up and operates heavy-duty power press to bend, form, stretch and straighten a variety of products such as plates, extrusions, structural shapes, etc as specified by blueprints, layout, and templates.
- Plans sequence of operations applying knowledge of materials.
- Performs duties required to assist setup and operate multiple automatic and/or multi-slide presses simultaneously for a variety of stamping products.
- Works from drawings, route sheets, schedules, written, and verbal instructions.
- Checks material for correct size and type, loads coils, adjusts uncoiler and material rollers.
- Aids in setting up complicated progressive dies, movable and stationary forming blocks, adjusts stroke and feed as needed.
- Uses micrometers, calipers, scales, and fixed gauges to check work in process and ensure adherence to specifications.
- Moves materials in the performance of duties using lift truck or crane as necessary.
- Installs and checks safety devices as needed for specific jobs.
- Reports faulty equipment, defective material and unusual conditions to supervisor.
- Observes all prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintains work area in a neat and orderly condition.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or directed, which may require more than the normal shift hours or work week to meet company needs.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 3+ years Manufacturing experience.
- 3+ years of progressive die stamping press operation experience.
