Press Operator - 2nd shift

About the Role

Prior experience in manufacturing or quality preferred, but not necessary – we'll train you!

Responsibilities

• Work from blueprints, route sheets, and written instructions to produce high-quality components, demonstrating strong attention to detail in every step of the process.
• Set up and run hydraulic and mechanical presses ranging from 150 tons to 1,200 tons, ensuring safe and precise operation.
• Perform rubber-to-metal stamping (experience preferred but not required; training provided) to the right candidate.
• Work with various materials, including Inconel (Inco), AM350, and titanium strip stock with thicknesses ranging from .001" to .008", maintaining accuracy and consistency.
• Perform set-ups (or request assistance for complex set-ups) and conduct in-process inspections per ES Specifications to ensure all parts meet dimensional and quality requirements.
• Maintain set-ups and make minor adjustments as needed, escalating unusual issues to the supervisor.
• Verify product quality using quantitative charting methods such as Statistical Process Control (SPC) and a range of precision measuring tools, including contour readers and non-contact measuring systems, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Use basic computer skills to perform labor transactions and other required system functions with accuracy and completeness.

Pay

Hourly Rate Range: $22.00 – $27.00 per hour with a 15% shift differential for 2nd shift. Final rate will be determined by relevant experience, skills, and qualifications.
