Press Operator - 2nd shift

About the role

Vishay Dale Electronics in Columbus, NE is seeking a Press Operator for 2nd Shift (Monday - Thursday, 3:30pm - 2:00am). Overtime is available as needed. You will operate and tend production machines to produce parts from various metals and non-metallic materials, ensuring products meet quality and customer expectations.

This position is located at Vishay Dale Electronics, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of resistors and e-beam technology, employing around 600 people in Columbus, NE.

Responsibilities

• Operate and tend punch presses, feed systems, cut-off saws, deburring machines, and other production equipment to produce parts from steel, aluminum, copper, other resistive materials, and non-metallic materials.
• Run an appropriate sample post-setup and ensure inspection is performed per specification.
• Run assigned products and operate manual feed presses or RH lines as required.
• Set up stamping lines per specifications, ensuring all raw materials are correct and present.
• Advise die makers of setup requirements for the product being run.
• Load coil stock material onto de-reeler and start coil stock into dies at the proper place to ensure tool care.
• Use machine tools, including lathes, high-speed punch presses, cut-off saws, and deburring equipment.
• Compute material and finished product counts using basic math skills and a calculator.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Familiarity with punch presses, pressroom terminology, equipment, and processes preferred.
• Ability to accurately identify different types of raw materials.
• Basic math skills for computing material and product counts.
